Funny thing that happened to me while doing some security testing on Project Server 2013. I was attempting to import some local resources from an .MPP file using the Import Resources to Enterprise wizard. (like I’ve done many many times before) And the weirdest thing happened…
The current view would shift over (like it always does) but the Import Resources Wizard was missing. Very Strange!!

With the recent announcement of the Release to Manufacturing (RTM) of SharePoint/Project Server 2016 there have been many changes in both products. But one of the most significant changes in Project Server 2016 is that it is no longer a separate installation process, as it now runs as a service application only in SharePoint Server 2016 Enterprise edition. Please note you will require an activation key in order to enable Project Server 2016.

Well I upgrade my Lenovo ThinkPad W520 from Windows 8 to Windows 10 Release Preview. The upgrade worked flawlessly (thank you Microsoft!). So I’m checking out my new digs on the new OS and opened up Windows Explorer. Very nice! The new ribbon feature add great additional functionality to the tool. But I saw that there were a few new folders added ($WINDOWS.~BT and Windows.old). Naturally I assumed that it was the folders used in upgrade process. So I decided to continue and investigate more of the new functions of the OS.
In the end, the final verdict was this build was Rock Solid!!
